Hello, Sick and Friends!
Do you know that it is now with the lowest sun exposure that the peelings should be ideally performed?
And that there are chemicals and not chemicals and superficial and deep?
Basically it is an approach of Aesthetic Medicine with numerous applications in all skin types, but you should always choose a professional expert in Aesthetic Medicine and who knows how to evaluate your skin type, prepare the skin and monitor the post-peeling.
Chemical peelings consist of the application of agents that destroy the surface layers of the skin, followed by its regeneration, with an improved overall appearance. It's a way to exfoliate and accelerate skin renewal. It could be superficial, medium and deep. Surface peelings need to be done in series, and their peeling is usually thin, while medium and deep peelings are performed in unique applications, with more intense peeling . .
Some of the agents used for chemical peeling are:
Phenol –used to perform deep peeling for approximately 100 years; it hits the skin intensely; it is only indicated to treat the aging of the face when there are many wrinkles and the skin is very clear; the result is excellent and lasting, but a cardiological evaluation is necessary, due to possible side effects;
Trichloroacetic acid (ATA) –can be combined with other agents to perform a medium peel in the treatment of wrinkles and scars;
Salicylic acid –used to perform superficial peeling, with improvement of the skin aspect, reduction of fine wrinkles and spots, and assist in the control of acne;
Jessner and glycolic acid solution –also used for surface or medium peeling (in this case combined with ATA), mainly for the treatment of fine wrinkles, spots and acne;
Retinoic acid –most used in cream in the treatment of aging skin
After a superficial chemical peeling the skin is remade in one to four days; on the other hand, the medium and deep peelings constitute a wound whose healing begins in 24 hours and is completed within seven to 15 days.
Chemical peelings should not be performed if there is sun exposure during pregnancy if there is an open “injury” at the site to be treated, if under physical and mental stress . Adequate sun protection is essential.
In short, they are used to attenuate wrinkles, stains and scars; to reduce premalignant lesions such as actinic keratoses and to help treat acne.
Non-chemicals include crystal microdermabrasion or diamond as generally known.
Everyone improves skin quality and its repetition strengthens it!
Mime and take care!
See you soon!
