We all want to live on a mission, on purpose, for a purpose, and we say it differently. Even if you don’t think much about what it is to live, you often feel that you “miss” something or else you don’t miss anything and already live on a mission.
So what's this about our mission? It's not a goal, a dream or a vision. It's a way of declaring who we are. That is what makes us unique, our gift, where we are truly satisfied.
Describing our mission could be a very revealing moment. We can discover something really new and that leads us to transformation, we can feel that “we already knew” and that we have even lived on a mission, or we can find that we have been so out of line with our mission that we don’t even know how to proceed.
I described my mission a few years ago. For me it wasn't a surprising moment, I felt I already knew it. However, putting into words what was unconscious was the first step towards a profound change in my life.
Now I know at any moment how aligned I am with my mission. I know that the more aligned I am, the better I feel, the more effective I am, the more powerful I am. I can always ask myself (and often do it) how I can be more on mission in certain situations and also use it to make decisions and make choices (the big ones and the small ones).
Since I've known my mission, I feel that all my steps, my goals, my choices have a common purpose.
My mission is my beacon. I don't need to get there. I just need you to keep lighting my way.
And you want to know, declare and live your mission, your purpose?
