Dr Andreia Santana, a graduate of Osteopathy at the prestigious Portuguese Red Cross Higher School of Health, despite having started her professional activity in another area, felt that her mission would have a greater design that would enable her to help others achieve a lighter and more painless life. Her fascination with the understanding of the nature of the Human Being then led her to Osteopathy, an area of science that observes the patient as a whole and “respects the relationship between the different dimensions of the human being in health and disease” (Portaria 207/B-2014).
In this desire to deepen knowledge and because, from its perspective, non-conventional therapies should be a complement to conventional medicine, it has also made formations in several areas that gave it various resources that it likes to teach its patients. This approach made her a more complete therapist, characterized as a professional always available, attentive and dedicated.
The techniques used in its diagnosis and treatment are mainly manual techniques, however, it seeks in each intervention an opportunity to encourage the patient in relation to good lifestyle habits, the performance of healthy movement and the involvement in the management of his clinical case, aiming at the integration of capacities that favor relaxation, well-being and the increase of his quality of life.
